Weak monsoon may spike food inflation

BSE Sensex (27661.40)  and NSE Nifty(8360.55) closed down  by 1.51% and  1.5% respectively  last week.Nifty  call option July  8500 was very active.Nifty July future was quoting at the premium of 15.95 points.Support for Sensex is at  27350 and Nifty at 8260. Resistance for Sensex is at 28150 and Nifty at 8500.

STATE BANK OF INDIA  and  ICICI BANK  added Open Interest in July series.Huge position was build up at  TATA MOTORS  July  call  Option Strike Price 410.Good build up was also seen at  ICICI BANK  July  call  Option Strike Price 320.

Strategy  for Futures Option players

(1)TATA MOTORS (403.55)   Future-Lot Size 500 shares.

Buy One Lot July  Future  @ 403.55 Rs.
Sell One Call Option July  strike price 420@ 6.60 Rs
Premium Received= 6.60*500= 3300.00 Rs
Maximum Profit= 420 – 403.55= 16.45*500= 8225.00 + 3300.00 = 11525.00 Rs.
Max Loss=Unlimited.

(2) BANK BARODA (156.80) LOT SIZE 2000 shares
Buy  One Call Option of   July Strike Price 155@ 6.20 Rs.
Sell  One Call Option of   July Strike Price 160@ 3.85 Rs.
Premium Paid = 6.20*2000 = 12400.00 Rs.
Premium Received=3.85*2000 = 7700.00 Rs.
Net Premium Paid= 124000 – 7700= 4700.00 Rs.
Maximum Profit = 160 - 155= 5*2000= 10000.00 – 4700.00 = 5300.00 Rs.
Maximum Loss= 4700 Rs.
Break Even= 157.35
