RBI may cut prime lending rates by 25 basis points

BSE Sensex (27828.44)  and NSE Nifty(8433.65) closed down  by 0.5% and  0.2% respectively  last week.Nifty  call option June  8500 was very active.Nifty June future was quoting at the premium of 31.95 points.Support for Sensex is at  27700 and Nifty at 8380. Resistance for Sensex is at 28300 and Nifty at 8495.

NTPC  and  BHARTI AIRTEL added Open Interest in June series.Huge position was build up at  RCOM  June  call Option Strike Price 75.Good build up was also seen at  IDEA  June  call Option Strike Price 180.

Strategy  for Futures Option players

(1)SUN TV (382)   Future-Lot Size 500 shares.

Buy One Lot June  Future  @ 382.00 Rs.

Sell One Call Option June  strike price 400@ 12.70 Rs

Premium Received= 12.70*500= 6350.00 Rs

Maximum Profit= 400- 382= 18*500= 9000.00 + 6350.00 = 15350.00 Rs.

Max Loss=Unlimited.

(2) SRF (1101.05) LOT SIZE 250 shares

Buy  One Call Option of   June Strike Price 1100@ 45.60 Rs.

Sell  One Call Option of   June Strike Price 1200@ 19.00 Rs.

Premium Paid = 45.60*250 = 11400.00 Rs.

Premium Received= 19*250 = 4750.00 Rs.

Net Premium Paid= 11400 –4750= 6650.00 Rs.

Maximum Profit = 1200-1100=100*250=25000.00 – 6650.00 = 18350.00 Rs.

Maximum Loss= 6650.00 Rs.

Break Even= 1126.60
